How dare they!

Apple released iTunes ver. 4,9, while I am gone in Germany. Curses. So much to catch up on. I have not been reading my usual RSS news Internets. Meh. I shall catchup whence I return, mostly with the comics I read and such.

Um, an un-remarkable removal of the monochrome iPod in replacement with the 20 Gb photo iPod, in the same price range as the monochrome one it replaced.

Instead, I have been biking and riding trains and walking. And eating excellent cheese and Döner.

Today, I visited some horses on a bikeride. You know, the more I see of Verden on the Aller river, the more that it reminds me of Wisconsin.

The other day, I saw the last 5 minutes of one of the first episodes of Star Trek: Voyager, but in German; I will admit that I truly loved this show when it was on, but I only saw mostly the later episodes that included Seven-of-Nine; the later seasons. I ought to rent and watch all the episodes ...

Also, the more trains I see, the more enamoured and impressed with them I am, and their power. So very impressive.

And, this is not the first time, but I really do think that the States need to switch to a metric system; so much easier. I have been a proponent of this shift for the last 7 to 10 years, though it must be enacted in a rather quick manner, or it will not happen at all. It also needs to be graduated over a 5 year period, no longer than 7 years, or it will not happen, either. By the first 2 years, the metric signage should switch from secondary to primairy on the signposts.

Also, new drivers should be instructed in the ways of metric driving; the graduated signage is mostly for those now acustomed to English measurements to be able to gradually get a feel for Metric measurement. It took me two weeks, and that is only for temperature; kilometres are still mostly beyond my grasp. I can understand smaller measurements of metres and centimetres better.

I need now to get another album to another show, the show Tanzt Der Vampire "Dances the Vampire", because the music was fun. And it's in German. I really do <3 showtunes too much.

er ... yeah )
