GPS: Eastern Washington University - Communications Building
zeitgeist: busy busy

I swapped around my class schedule today, finally adding a third class, boosting me from 10 credits to 15. I now have a block of class between 9 and noon.

9:00: Calc I — Math 161 (I'm retaking the class)

10:00: African American history in America (crosslisted as History and Gender/Diversity 215)

11:00: Programming principles II — CSCD 211

And that's my day, Winter Quarter.

It's not a mad dash across campus, either, and I end it in the computer science building where I can leisurely work on things on the computer.

Wow, only three classes? Must be nice. Seems I can remember many of my classes being four credits. Whenever that happened, twelve credits seemed too few hours, but sixteen meant four classes, which was just too many for my single-minded brain to handle. So I'd usually pick the lesser of two evils and take four 4-credit classes each quarter. Three classes with 15 credits always seemed just right. :)

The lower-level CS classes are all 5-credits. I think as I go later, they drop to 4 credits and are only Monday through Thursday.

Besides, I have to pay more if I take more than 18 credits, and 10 credits (two classes) is too few.

Apparently, I still need to take the "computer literacy" tests to certify to the university that I know how to operate a computer, or they won't let me register next quarter xD

Those computer literacy tests are the biggest pain in the rear. Every CS major I've ever talked to said they went through it with very little difficulty. However, it really is to your benefit to get it out of the way as soon as possible, and I'm sure all those who've been through the comp lit tests will agree with me. So don't wait on it. Git 'r done!
