Keming (kem'-ing) n.
The result of improper kerning.

If you don't get the joke, just be thankful that you're not a typography and layout geek. If you are, I know your pain when looking at all the badly-laid-out things all over this world.

Now, I don't usually like shirts with words on them, but this one is just so brilliant and witty that I think I have to get it.

Keming is positively dangeresque, especially with words like FLICK. And vacuum.

] Marvel had a semi-famous screwup with the word "flick" in some comic or another about ten years ago, I think. Also, Peter David noted to be especially careful with characters named "Clint". ;)

] At one point, I joked about getting a ".corn" website, but nobody got the joke. =\

] I always liked the concept. ;)

] There was a program floating around the net (how apropos) a while back that I had on my PC at one point. It wasn't terribly useful; mainly just an image of a pulsing bit that would answer if you clicked on it. Full graphics and sound. Something of a memory hog though, ironically.

Hehe. Very ironic.

I have a floating bit in Second Life. You "wear" the item, and it floats near your shoulder. Then you can enter commands on a closed channel to make it say yes or no.

Vague memories pop up from Art of the Book. Oh yes, "ti" combos and using the tiniest of leads to make things fit and align right.... Not entirely sure of the exact definition of "kern," but I'm down with it.
