Because I've found I enjoy discussing design of things with people, here's a thing I just put together:



I think it's better than the last. I might tweak with it a little to-morrow, but this is pretty much it.

Also, Allen, I'll e-mail a higher-res file. Don't use the one here. It will look crappy.

Like I said, I'll send you a high-res file for reproducing. Right now, I'm tired. I've also put the desktop to sleep and I don't want to get up out of bed and poke at things anymore tonight.

I like it a lot.

One design note, mostly because I can't help it: consider tightening up the titular font and the address information.

I love love love the orientation decision. It cleans it up a whole lot.

I have to say that I did reference the bit you did.

Though, perhaps it served to help me realise that not everything has to be in straight lines.

And I used most of the same fonts as well.


I have to say that it's fun to do this sort of stuff. Very fun indeed.

It certainly is freeing, but then again I'm going through an angled text phase.

I noticed it the other day and it's kind of freaking me out. Next poster I'm determined to do more perpendicular treatments. OOH! Perpendicular!

The Harmony "coming out day" poster reminds me of the spinning text in Quartz screensavers (like the RSS feed one). Definitely a strong 3-D vibe to it.
